Collect resources without sacrificing the mission
Loot has campaign value, but an unnecessary detour can cost more than it earns. Gather along useful routes and coordinate crafting needs.

When is collecting loot worthwhile?
Compare the movement and action cost with the current objective and threats. A token on the route to a productive attack can be nearly free; one behind the party can require an entire round and leave the collector exposed. Check whether the scenario is time-sensitive before planning a collection turn. Completing the objective should remain the reason the party is in the room.
How do you make looting safer?
Decide who can collect without losing their main contribution. Keep useful movement available after the pickup and avoid creating a target for several enemy attacks. If a fight is nearly controlled, coordinate the final actions so one hero does not end the encounter before a planned legal pickup. Follow the actual objective completion behavior rather than assuming you can always explore afterward.
How should campaign needs influence the choice?
Before departing, identify whether the party is saving for a particular building or useful crafted tool. That gives resource collection a purpose without dictating every combat turn. After returning, check the recipe and construction requirements in the digital interface before spending. Do not assume resources can always be freely exchanged between every inventory or campaign pool. If collection repeatedly causes failed missions, shorten the detour budget and prioritize tokens reached by actions that also advance the scenario.
Which references should you keep nearby?
Use the class library to understand your party, consult card economy when planning endurance, and open the world map between expeditions.
